Students on many Frenship ISD campuses participated in this year’s Hour of Code event held the week of December 7.
According to their site, “The Hour of Code is a one-hour introduction to computer science, designed to demystify code and show that anybody can learn the basics.”
During an Hour of Code event, students explore introductory tutorials to coding, often through games suggested by Code.org. While an Hour of Code event can be hosted anytime, December 7–13 is the widely-recognized campaign to host one which coincides with Computer Science Education Week.
The students and educators at FISD represented the West Texas region well in this year’s Hour of Code event.
