Frenship ISD has added an early release day for all campuses on Thursday, May 25, 2017. This is the last day of instruction for the school year.
All campuses will now release two hours early. This change will not impact the final exam schedule at Frenship High School and Reese Education Center.
House Bill (HB) 2610, passed by the 84th Texas Legislature, requires districts to provide at least 75,600 minutes of instruction, including intermissions and recess. FISD banked additional minutes in the 2016-2017 calendar in case of unexpected weather delays. The threat of inclement weather is minimal during the next six weeks so FISD added the early release.
