FISD Recognizes Staff at Annual Appreciation Banquet

Last night was a special celebration of the true dedication and commitment of individuals that make Frenship ISD what it is – a wonderful school and community to be a part of. Service pin recipients, Support Professionals of the Year, Rookie Teachers of the Year, Teachers of the Year and Retirees of the District were honored at the annual Staff Appreciation Banquet in the Red Raider Ballroom at Texas Tech University.

Also, thanks to generous donations by Texas Tech Credit Union a few honored guests received door prizes they will be able to cherish for a lifetime.

It was a great way to bring the 2017-2018 school year to a close. The evening began with a welcome by FISD Board of Trustees Vice President David Miller followed by a few words from FISD Superintendent Michelle McCord. Doug Smith, Director of Special Education Services, gave the invocation and Andy Penney, Director of Public Relations, emceed the night.

As the evening progressed recognitions took place to honor those who have been in education for anywhere from 10-50 years, outstanding teachers selected by their campuses as well as those that will be wrapping up their careers with FISD.
