Frenship ISD joins in celebrating with Frenship High School soccer standouts Jared Hallman and Adrian Silva who are continuing their careers and each signed a national letter of intent with Lubbock Christian University. The signings took place Wednesday in the FHS library.
Hallman, a three-year starter for the Tiger soccer program and the 2016 team captain for the Tigers, helped the program to the Class 6A playoffs this season by scoring seven goals and adding two assists. He is a two-time 1st Team All-District selection, a 2016 National Soccer Coaches Association of America High School Scholar All-American, a member of the Texas Association of Soccer Coaches Academic All-State team, and a TASCO All-Region nominee. Hallman was also a Lone Star Varsity Super Team Honorable Mention selection.
Silva, a two-year starter and also a 2016 team captain, scored 13 goals and added seven assists during the Tigers’ playoff season. He was named to the District 2-6A 1st Team All-District team and is a TASCO Academic All-State selection and a NSCAA High School Scholar All-American. Silva was also named to the Lone Star Varsity Super Team.
Hallman and Silva join an LCU soccer program under the leadership of new head coach Paul Gilbert. Their head coach at Frenship is Eric Eugenis.
