The team competed against 122 6A schools in Texas.
The Frenship High School cheerleading team competed in the UIL Spirit State Championships in Fort Worth, placing 25th in the state out of 122 6A schools in Texas.
The team performed in a variety of categories, including performance cheer, fight song, and band dance.
Frenship’s final score was 214.89 overall, placing 9th in performance cheer, 27th in fight song, and 83rd in band dance.
Varsity Cheer Coach Kayci Smith said she was extremely proud of the team and how they performed during the state championships.
Frenship almost advanced to the finals but was a few placements shy of making it to the final round.
