Two Frenship High School students earned All-State honors at the Area auditions held this past weekend (Jan. 6-8) at Permian High School in Odessa, while four FHS students earned 1st Alternates to the All-State Band.
Reed Rogers earned All-State Baritone Saxophone and Nathan Broyles earned All-State Contrabrass Clarinet.
The four students who earned 1st Alternates to the All-State Band include:
- Christian Lopez
- Ashley Gray
- Justin Kennon
- Tristan Nock
Frenship students competed with other schools from the Permian, West Texas, El Paso and Texas Panhandle areas.
All-State Band members will travel to San Antonio Feb. 8 to rehearse with musicians from across the state and will perform in the Grand Concert Feb. 11 at the Lila Cockrell Theater at the Convention Center in San Antonio.
