Frenship, Heritage and Terra Vista Middle School put smiles on the faces of 30 children last Thursday when members of the National Junior Honor Society delivered Easter baskets to University Medical Center’s Pediatric Floor.
Kim Thomson, NJHS sponsor at HMS, said this annual event is such a great time for everyone involved.
The Easter baskets were delivered to kids of all ages ranging from newborn to 18-years-old. NJHS students purchased the supplies and goodies for the baskets and put them together as a group.
Ethan Martinez, NJHS member at FMS said, it was nice to give back to kids who can’t have a normal Easter.
“The kids in the hospital, they can’t go hunt for Easter eggs or see all of their family,” Martinez said, “so it was cool seeing how happy they got getting our baskets.”
