Dr. McCord: Welcome Back Tigers!

Welcome to Frenship ISD for the 2017-18 school year!

Dear All:

Whether you are a student, staff member, parent, or community member, please know we are honored that you have taken the time to see what’s going on in our district. Frenship is a very special school district with a rich tradition of excellence spanning more than 80 years.

We consider it a tremendous privilege to serve alongside such dedicated Frenship staff, students, parents, and community members. We attribute Frenship’s remarkable success to the support and encouragement of people like you as well as the solid foundation of hard-work, integrity, and determination upon which the district was established in 1935. We hold fast to these principles as we challenge ourselves to equip every child for the endless opportunities of the future.

As in the previous years, Frenship continues to grow. We are projecting an enrollment of approximately 10,000 students for the 2017-2018 school year. In addition, we are excited about the opening of our Ninth Grade Center. The Frenship High School freshman campus, located across the street from the existing high school building, will be home to all ninth grade Tigers. This expansion will alleviate some of the crowding we have experienced the last couple of years at the high school. We hope you will visit the freshman campus. We would love for you to see this amazing, new learning environment.

While growth brings excitement and energy, growth can present challenges. At times, one can feel a bit overwhelmed and anonymous amid the thousands of children we serve. This is one reason our community-led strategic plan emphasizes our commitment to the Frenship Way. We want every staff member, parent, and child to feel welcome at Frenship.

Frenship is committed to creating a thriving environment where learners maximize their potential and emerge as empowered, equipped, and diverse leaders. Again, we are grateful for your support and honored that you would consider partnering with us in providing an extraordinary education for your children.

Go Tigers!!
