The City of Wolfforth is currently seeking a Full Charge Bookkeeper.

Payroll: Maintain employee records; enter and process bi-weekly time sheets; produce, process and maintain payroll checks, retirement deposits, payroll tax records, Texas Workforce Commission records, W2 forms; manage correspondence with IRS, Social Security, and Texas Municipal Retirement System.
Accounts Payable: Maintain vendor records; enter, process and maintain all invoices and authorized electronic payments; produce all vendor checks to meet timely payment deadlines and maintain all check registers; produce and maintain annual invoice files; maintain separate records as necessary for grants, capital projects, and debt service payments; produce, process and maintain 1099 forms as required.
Cash Receipts: Assist with accepting payments as necessary; process special receipts and deposits; balance daily cash receipts; make daily bank deposits using remote check deposit system and reconcile bank acceptance records; make weekly cash deposits as needed; reconcile and maintain all bank accounts.
General Ledger: Produce, process, post and maintain all general ledger entries for all funds; produce all monthly financial reports and post to City Council meeting site; produce and maintain all financial records as required by state law; provide and deliver monthly financial reports to CPA firm for review and post any adjusting entries as necessary; participate in annual audit, including providing all records, researching and providing additional details as requested by auditor, posting final adjustments, reconciling audit and final financial report for the fiscal year.
Budget: Prepare, coordinate (with department heads and City Manager), and present annual budget for General, Enterprise, and Debt Service funds; provide both print and web publication versions; maintain Capital Improvement Projects records; maintain Debt Service records; provide requested information to Lubbock Central Appraisal District for ad valorem tax calculations.
Investments: Attend bi-annual Public Funds Investment training and keep current certification; comply with City of Wolfforth Public Funds Investment Policy; maintain and submit policy for updates as appropriate; monitor investment opportunities and coordinate investments as dictated by policy strategies.
Income Properties: Manage, track, and maintain all income producing agreements or leases.
