2015 GT Leadership Summit

DSC_0086The Casey Administration Building is buzzing with 5th grade gifted and talented students from across the district for the 2015 GT Leadership Summit.

Dr. Michelle McCord, Superintendent of Schools for Frenship ISD, greeted the students this morning with a message of continuing their excellent leadership on their campuses as well as encouraging the students to ask questions to continue to expand their already gifted and talented minds.

DSC_0089The students had a full agenda of learning, activities and speakers for the day’s summit.. The four sessions that the students encountered included learning how to communicate as a leader, as a team, in future endeavors as well as communicating using digital media. They also had a special presentation during lunch from Kippi and Blake Buchanan, founders of  the tropical dessert franchise Bahama Buck’s.

Thank you to Gloria Gonzales and Kayla Sherman from the Texas Tech University Center for Adolescent Resiliency, Todd Wyrick of Spirit Ranch, Lisa Low from Texas Tech Media and Communications and Johnny Kisko Instructional Technology Specialist for FISD. Also to all the administrative staff who lined up the speakers and planned such a dynamic day for these students.
