100 families will have an entire Thanksgiving meal courtesy of Frenship ISD and Massey St. Clair Orthodontics.
Volunteers from the Frenship Police Department and Frenship Staff loaded cars and police vehicles with Thanksgiving boxes to be distributed across the district. Each box contained a turkey, mashed potatoes, dressing, and a pie.
According to Melissa Wade, the FISD Coordinator of Special Programs, the boxes were allocated to schools according to the number of students on the free and reduced lunch program. The boxes were distributed to families based on recommendations from the school counselors.
“These boxes will feed 100 families that contain 220 FISD students,” said Wade.
“We’re thankful for Massey and St. Clair Orthodontics and all of the volunteers that helped us transport the Thanksgiving boxes to the schools. This is what the thanksgiving spirit is all about.”
