Monday night during the monthly meeting, the FISD Board of Trustees recognized 26 Frenship High School students who received All-State recognition in various competitions or categories:

Five Frenship High School Choir students were selected to the Texas Music Educators Association All-State Choir. The students were selected after their auditions at the Area A Vocal Auditions on Saturday, January 9 at Abilene Cooper High School. The five Frenship students selected to sing with the TMEA All-State Choir include:

Anna Howard

Frenship High School senior Jacob Salazar placed sixth at the UIL State Congress Competition for the Class 6A Classification on Saturday, January 16 at the Texas State Capitol in Austin. This is Salazar’s third time to represent Frenship High School at the UIL State Congress Competition, his second time to reach the finals, and his first time to place in the state’s top six competitors.
