Red Ribbon Week is in Full Swing Across FISD

DSC_0910Red Ribbon Week will be recognized and celebrated all week across the campuses of FISD. Each day a new theme can be discovered at any of the 12 FISD campuses promoting a drug free environment to the students.

Red Ribbon Week is a nation wide alcohol, tobacco/drug and violence prevention awareness campaign to promote healthy life-style choices to students. Special guest speakers, anti-drug videos and activities will take place all week to better educate the students.

Today several campuses wore red to kick-start the week’s activities, while others wore hats to Put A Lid On Drugs or crazy socks to Sock It To Drugs. As the week progresses middle school students will be performing skits to elementary campuses teaching the importance of being drug free as well as taking pledges to stay away from drugs and alcohol.

For more information about the fun activities taking place on your students campus make sure to check their official Twitter page and websites for all the latest information.
