Heritage Welcomes Harlem Ambassadors, Raises Money for Miracle Pennies

Heritage Middle School raised more than $2,000 during the event and had more than 630 people attend.

Last Monday (Jan. 23), Heritage Middle School welcomed the Harlem Ambassadors — basketball performers who provide wholesome, family entertainment — to help raise money for the Miracle Pennies Drive, which is for the Children’s Miracle Network.

The Harlem Ambassadors played basketball with a team from the middle school called the Heritage Miracle Shooters. The team consisted of students, teachers, and administration to create a fun, playful atmosphere.

More than 630 people attended the event, raising more $2,135.

The Harlem Ambassadors said it was the largest crowd they had ever seen before at a family night.

Other campuses in the Frenship district also are working to raise money for the Miracle Pennies Drives, including penny wars, dress up days and even a lip-sync battle.
