Girls’ Basketball Play Championship Game at Caprock Classic

The Frenship girls’ basketball team continued to build momentum for their upcoming district season with three victories and an appearance in the championship game at the annual FiberMax Caprock Classic last week in Lubbock.ae8b0102-5x7-team

Although the Tigers fell just short in the championship to Monterey, falling 48-44, the team reached the title game with three convincing wins over the tournament’s first two days. FHS opened play at the Tiger Pit with a 62-26 win versus Brownfield on Thursday.

The Tigers then beat state-ranked Midland Greenwood 61-40, the second win this season versus the Lady Rangers, and followed that win with 62-51 victory against Trinity Christian.

The Tigers are now 16-7 on the season and host host Midland High in their District 2-6A opener on Friday.
