The Frenship soccer programs invite the community out to the fourth annual Frenship Cup soccer tournament this Thursday-Saturday, January 7-9 at the new Frenship Tiger Soccer Stadium. This year’s tournament kicks off the 2016 season for 13 boys and girls teams from West Texas.
This year’s tournament will mark a historic moment in Frenship soccer history as the two programs will play at the new Tiger Soccer Stadium. The new 500-seat stadium that features a FIFA certified pitch, only the second Texas high school soccer pitch that is FIFA certified. Construction was completed in the summer of 2015.
The dedication ceremony for the new Tiger Soccer Stadium is scheduled for Thursday at 7:15 p.m. The Frenship girls play just before the ceremony versus Palo Duro at 6:00 p.m. The boys play just after the ceremony versus Borger at 8:00 p.m.
The new Tiger Soccer Stadium is located on Donald Preston Drive in Wolfforth, just east of Peoples Bank Stadium.
A weekend pass to the three-day tournament can be purchased for $5.
