Frenship ISD Provides Technology Resources

Frenship ISD Technology Department provides computers for check out and campus hotspots for internet access.

During this time of remote learning, Frenship ISD is diligently working to provide technology resources for students. Frenship students can check out a device from the Frenship ISD Technology Department by clicking here.

Understanding that internet connectivity might be an issue for some Frenship families, Frenship ISD has provided a list of resources from internet providers such as Keep Americans Connected Pledge, SuddenLink, and Metro by T-Mobil. Those resources can be found here.

In addition to these internet providers, Frenship ISD is creating hotspots offering WiFi connectivity at each campus. The campus WiFi signal has been expanded beyond the building to the parking lot. Frenship families can simply drive up to the campus, remain in their vehicle, and connect their device to the campus WiFi. Students will sign in using their Frenship username and password, just as they would in the computer lab. Students may log into any campus hotspot regardless of which campus they attend.

The following campuses are currently offering WiFi hotspots:

  • Bennett Elementary
  • Crestview Elementary
  • Legacy Elementary
  • North Ridge Elementary
  • Oak Ridge Elementary
  • Upland Heights Elementary
  • Westwind Elementary
  • Willow Bend Elementary
  • Frenship Middle School
  • Heritage Middle School
  • Terra Vista Middle School
  • Ninth Grade Center
  • Frenship High School
  • Casey Administration Building

The Frenship ISD Technology Department is working tirelessly to offer hotspots at the remaining campuses.

Frenship ISD is committed to the security and safety of all students during the transition to remote learning. Cybersecurity is among the top priority. Students who check out devices from Frenship ISD are protected by firewalls through Frenship’s Virtual Private Network (VPN). During deployment of the device, a student will sign in while on campus to ensure the proper systems are in place.
