The Frenship girls hoops team wasted little time in their home opener jumping on top of Levelland and riding a big first quarter lead to a 68-47 win Saturday at the Tiger Pit.
Frenship used a 24-point burst in the first eight minutes to build a 15-point lead on the visiting Loboettes. For the game, the Tigers shot 47 percent from the floor including 6-20 from 3-point range and 14-21 from the free throw line.
Desiree Caldwell led the team with 22 points. Margaret Gaydon followed with her second straight 13-point performance, and Addison Foster was the third Tiger player in double figures with 10.
The Tigers are now 2-0 and host Abilene Cooper on Tuesday before hosting the Frenship Tournament Thursday thru Saturday.
