Frenship Basketball Defeats Odessa High

Both the Varsity Boys and Girls teams beat Odessa High, while maintaining their district lead.

Friday was a double win for the Frenship Tigers as both the Varsity Boys and Girls teams came home with two wins versus Odessa High while maintaining their No. 1 spots in the district.

FRENSHIP GIRLS 45, ODESSA HIGH 31

Addison Foster led the way against Odessa High as she scored 11 points on Friday. The Tigers’ Lauren Landtroop followed by scoring eight points and Cassandra Awatt scoring seven.

The win against Odessa High holds the team’s No. 1 spot in the district with a record of 7-0.

FRENSHIP BOYS 62, ODESSA HIGH 47

Frenship’s Bradley Brooks scored a game-high of 22 points as the Tigers defeated Odessa on Friday. Zack Kirkpatrick followed by scoring 11 points and Skyler Newsome scoring nine points for the team.

The win tied Frenship for first place in the district with a 4-1 record.

Both teams will host Permian at 6 and 7:30 p.m. Tuesday (Jan. 31) for another district game.
