Frenship Announces Plans for Graduation Ceremonies

class of 2020 graduation update

Frenship ISD is currently working on a plan to hold an outdoor graduation ceremony to honor the Senior Class of 2020. We are in the process of consulting with city and state officials to ensure our plan is in compliance with Texas Governor Greg Abbott’s executive orders and social distancing criteria.

Frenship High School Graduation:

Based on new guidance from Governor Abbott and the Texas Education Agency, “an outdoor graduation ceremony may take place in any county on or after June 1.”

At this time, our tentative plan is to hold the Frenship High School graduation ceremony on Friday, June 5 at 7:30 p.m. at Peoples Bank Stadium. In order to stay within the state and local guidelines for occupancy percentages, seating will be limited, and each senior will be issued four tickets for guests.  The graduation would be livestreamed for those who cannot attend. Once plans have been finalized, Frenship will release more details about the ceremony.

Reese Education Center Graduation:

Following these same guidelines, Reese Education Center plans to hold a drive-in graduation ceremony to honor their 14 seniors. The Reese graduation is tentatively scheduled for the evening of May 21 at 7:30 p.m. in the Reese back parking lot. Reese will directly communicate with parents and seniors once the plans have been finalized.
