FISD Seventh Graders Receive State Recognition for SAT and ACT Scores

Congratulations to 26 Frenship ISD seventh grade students who received state recognition in the 2015 Duke Talent Identification Program. To receive the state recognition award, students had to score at or above the national average of recent high school graduates on at least one part of the ACT or the SAT. These students took one of the two tests in January or February.

Students who receive state recognition meet at least one of the following criteria:

ACT: English ≥ 21, Math ≥ 21, Reading ≥ 21, Science ≥ 21, or three of the four following scores English = 20, Math = 20, Reading = 20, Science = 20

SAT: Math ≥ 530, Critical Reading ≥ 510, Writing ≥ 500, or two of the three following scores: Math = 520, Critical Reading = 500, Writing = 490

FMS 1 (4)Additionally, Frenship Middle School seventh grader Austin Dunn received the Grand Recognition Award for his testing success. To receive the Grand Recognition Award, students have to score at or better than 90 percent of recent high school graduates who tested on at least one part of the ACT or the SAT. Dunn also met at least one of the following criteria:

ACT: English ≥ 29, Math ≥ 28, Reading ≥ 30, Science ≥ 27, or Composite ≥ 28

SAT: Math ≥ 680, Critical Reading ≥650, Writing ≥ 650, or Math + Critical Reading + Writing ≥ 1850
