FISD Prepares for Thanksgiving

Ham DropWith the hustle and bustle of Thanksgiving right around the corner, and vacation preparations well underway, FISD staff is still hard at work.

For many of us this time of year is filled with anticipation of the wonderful food we will enjoy with friends and family around the Thanksgiving table, but what if you aren’t sure where that meal will come from? Well, staff across FISD and St. Clair and Massey Orthodontics have been preparing for months to make sure students and their families won’t be hungry this Thanksgiving.

St. Clair and Massey Orthodontics made a wonderful donation of 100 boxed meals to Frenship ISD that were distributed among all 12 of the campuses. Between siblings in the District, 216 kids were recipients of the orthodontist’s generosity.

The boxes were filled with a ham, mashed potatoes, broccoli and rice casserole and green beans to ensure full stomachs will be had this Thanksgiving. Thank you to FISD counselors and Melissa Wade, Coordinator of Special Programs for making sure these boxes ended up with very deserving families. We are thankful for you!

We wish everyone a safe and Happy Thanksgiving!
