Progress on many of the current major construction projects at FISD continue to move forward at a great pace. Here are the latest updates from current bond projects that are part of the $85.2 million bond approved in May 2014:
Upland Heights Elementary (located at 10020 Upland Avenue):
The asphalt is being installed on the parking lots, and cleanup and grading of the outside yard is underway. Installation inside the building continues with the tile, ceiling grids, light fixtures and air conditioner grills.
All of the HVAC roof units are in place. All masonry work is complete and the painting of the walls is complete as well. Crews are currently completing the staining of the mill work inside the building.
Upland Heights is scheduled to open in August 2016.
Frenship High School Ninth Grade Center:
Crews are working on the installation of the underground electrical needed as well as the underground water service.
Work has started on pouring slab and preparing the tilt wall panels.
The FHS Ninth Grade Center is scheduled to open in August 2017.
Legacy Elementary Life Skills Addition
The painting of the walls is complete, tile work in the bathrooms is complete, and the installation of ceiling grids, light fixtures, and ceiling A/C grills continues.
The installation of new track surfaces at all three middle school campuses – Frenship, Heritage, and Terra Vista – is complete.
