FHS Recognizes Two American Vision Award Recipients

Forty schools from around the South Plains participated in the Regional Scholastics Art Contest that was held in early January. This competition is sponsored by Wayland Baptist University and is held in Plainview every year.

Just over 600 works of art were recognized from nearly 1,200 entries. Two Frenship High School students have earned the American Vision Awards as best in show. This prestigious award is given to the top 5 works of art in the entire show. The students are seniors Courtney Archer and Leah Giles.

One of the five American Vision works is guaranteed to win a National Award and be displayed in New York City during the National Scholastic Competition in May. We are extremely excited for this outstanding achievement by these two very talented artists.
