FHS Counselor Receives TTU Excellence in Counseling Award

img_9046Frenship ISD extends congratulations to Julie Pratt, Frenship High School counselor, for receiving the Excellence in College Admission Counseling Award from the Texas Tech University Admissions Office. Pratt was recognized and received her award during a luncheon on Wednesday.

Pratt, a senior counselor in her fourteenth year with the district, plays a prominent role in advising FHS students during the college selection, application, and submission process.

FHS was the state’s top feeder school into Texas Tech with 129 admitted students for the fall of 2016. Other top high school feeders to Tech in 2016 included Plano West High School (127) and The Woodland High School (106).

Texas Tech awards one high school counselor and one community college counselor from the state of Texas with the Excellence in College Admission Counseling Award each year.
