Bennett Elementary Lead Service Worker Honored With Prestigious Award

Aramark has named Linda Batson a 2017 recipient of the Ring of Stars Award.

Lead service worker Linda Batson has served in public school cafeterias through Aramark for twenty four years. Her near quarter-century of hard work has not gone unnoticed by staff, students and supervisors.

Aramark supervisor Brian Achilles nominated Batson for the Ring of Stars Award earlier this year.

“If you are looking for a model kitchen and employee in the K12 sector, then you need to look no further than Linda Batson at Bennett Elementary in Frenship ISD. Linda goes above and beyond on a daily basis to take care of her students and staff while making sure that everything she does is beyond normal expectations,” Achilles wrote in Batson’s nomination letter.

Over 1,100 Aramark employees were nominated for the prestigious accolade, but only 200 employees throughout the globe were selected. Batson was excited and humbled to receive notification that she received the award.

“I cried when I found out! It was really awesome,” she said.

As a part of the award, Batson and one guest will receive and all-expenses paid trip to Phoenix, Arizona in October. The three day trip will include a stay at the Desert Ridge Resort, leisure and recreational activities, and the Ring of Stars Award Ceremony.

Frenship ISD congratulates Linda Batson and is thankful for her dedication to the Frenship Way.
