2015-2016 School Year Wrapping Up With Many Successes

DSC_0899With only eight days left in the 2015-2016 school year students and staff are anxiously awaiting summer vacations and a break from the day-to-day school activities and calendar of events. This year FISD students and staff have been a part of many wonderful activities, both scholastic and extracurricular, and the Frenship Board of Trustees enjoys recognizing these accomplishments each month.

The May board meeting proved to be yet another month of success for the student body and staff that make FISD such a great place. More than 75 individuals were recognized Monday morning for their efforts with becoming All-State cheerleaders, State theater qualifiers, National DECA qualifiers, Beaumont Foundation recipients, Duke University recognized scholars and first year teachers.

On behalf of FISD we congratulate everyone that received local, district, state and national recognition for academic advances and well as your performing talents whether that was in arts, clubs or sports. We realize these achievements would not be possible without the dedication shown by the parents and teachers of these students and we applaud your commitment. Thank you for making the 2015-16 school year so outstanding, for sharing your talents with FISD, and we look forward to the new achievements that will be reached in the 2016-17 school year.
