After putting pressure on Keller for an entire afternoon and outshooting their opponent 22-7 through regulation and overtime, the Tigers still found themselves in a scoreless tie after regulation and overtime.
The Lady Indians finally broke through in the sudden death penalty kick period and outscored FHS 4-2 to beat the Tigers.
The loss ends another tremendous season for FHS who finishes with a record of 22-3-1.
“This group has represented Frenship the way we expect with great effort, humility and pride,” said FHS head coach Gery Joy. “This was a highly tested group that played a great schedule. FHS was ranked sixth in Region I and number 11 in the state. This team did not give up a goal in the playoffs and finished 10-0 in district conceding only two goals.”
