The Frenship Superintendent Student Advisory Board made blankets to keep community members warm over the Thanksgiving holiday.
As the cooler weather draws near, students on Frenship’s Superintendent Student Advisory Board spent their time after school making fleece blankets to keep community members warm over the Thanksgiving holiday.
Sixteen students in the 10-12th grades worked together as they turned plain pieces of fabric into a cozy blanket in just a few hours.
Frenship ISD Superintendent Michelle McCord jumped in to help make the blankets as well.
“Some of these blankets will go to those staying hospitals, since sometimes it can get cold,” Dr. McCord said. “It’s something simple, but the students wanted to help people out by giving them a small gift of gratitude with these blankets.”
