Frenship Pole Vaulter Rises to State Again, New School Records Set on the Track

Frenship pole vault sensation Sarah Tackitt is on her way back to the state track meet after finishing in second place at the Region I-6A event last weekend at the University of Texas in Arlington.

Tackitt’s vault of 12 feet-six inches tied for the highest vault of the weekend but she took the runner up spot in designated tie breakers.

The girls’ mile relay team of Bailey Martinez, Cassandra Awatt, Rylee Jordan, Jaliyah Jackson broke the school record twice with a pace of 3:54.03. Their performance earned a fourth place finish.

On the boy’s side, Braden Robinson finished in third place in the shot put and fourth place in the discus.
