Congratulations to the Frenship High School students who competed and placed at the Academic UIL Regional competition on Friday and Saturday, April 12-13 at the University of Texas in Arlington.

In Prose Interpretation, Alex Lopez finished in second place and qualified for state. He will compete in at state on May 29-30 at the University of Texas in Austin.

In Computer Applications, Karmyn Aguilar placed fourth and Hannah McRight placed fifth. Both will represent FHS as state alternates.

Noah McDonald also placed eighth in Persuasive Speaking to earn points for the team.

UIL state officials say that students who make it to state competition are in the top half percent of all students who compete in an event during the school year.
