Crestview Students Inspired by Innovation

Second grade students in Mrs. Maddox’s class at Crestview Elementary spent time researching inventors as part of a social studies project. Students were given an assignment to research a scientist and partnered with another student to discover four facts about the inventor.

After they had a written report, they found photos to support the information and designed a poster. The students then presented the posters to the class and shared the information they’d learned.

This study ties to a campus focus on innovation. The Innovation Lab at Crestview is used by various grade levels to collaborate, construct inventions and solve problems.¬†Students will continue to explore engaging projects in the Innovation Lab, including a Shark Tank-style presentation of inventions called “Tiger Cage” later this month.
