Bennett Elementary kindergarteners modeled looks from their favorite literary works.
The kindergarten classes at Bennett Elementary donned costumes for the annual Storybook Parade on Friday. Students carried the books that inspired their outfits as they paraded down the hallways in front of teachers, students, and parents.
Supportive 4th grade students chanted “Kindergarten! Kindergarten! Kindergarten!” as their younger counterparts parched by, smiling and waving as they went.
“This is my favorite activity of the year, my son loved picking out his costume!” exclaimed the parent of a student who’s costume was inspired by “How I Became a Pirate” by Melinda Long.
