Board Member since 2004Brad graduated from Monterey High School and attended Texas Tech University. He has a 25 year career in the structural waterproofing and roofing industry and is the Vice President for ARMKO Industries, Inc., a professional engineering firm.He and his wife, Lynda were married in 1987. They have two daughters – Ashlee, a 2007 Frenship graduate, and Kinsey, a 2008 Frenship graduate.Brad’s family attends church at Southcrest Baptist Church. He and his family enjoy the outdoors, wakeboarding and fishing.

He has been married to his wife, Jo for 30 years, who also graduated from Texas Tech University. They have one daughter, Kelsey, 23.

David’s interests include skiing, fishing, hunting, gardening and collegiate sports.

Brandon Autrey

Board Member since May 2010Troy Vanderburg is an Executive Vice President and Commercial Lender at Peoples Bank. He has a Bachelor’s degree in Advertising and Marketing from Texas Tech University and a Master’s degree in Land Economics and Real Estate from Texas A&M University. Troy is has served as  a member of the Frenship Foundation for Leadership which raises funds for scholarships for graduating seniors and for Frenship staff in need of financial assistance. He has also served as Treasurer of the Frenship Communities Political Action Committee which raised money in support of the district’s bond election. He was a graduate of the 2000-2001 class of Lubbock Leadership. Troy has been married to his wife, Rhonda for nineteen years. Rhonda is a Realtor at ReMax of Lubbock.  Rhonda is a former teacher and taught at Oak Ridge Elementary and was the Frenship PTA Elementary Educator of the Year and Crestview Teacher of the Year in 2008. Troy and Rhonda have three children – Jack attends Texas Tech University and is a member of the golf team, Annie is a sophomore at FHS and is a Varsity Cheerleader, and Lillie is a freshman at FHS and is on the JV Volleyball team. The Vanderburgs attend Experience Life Church.Troy’s hobbies include hunting, fishing, golf and attending the many activities in which his children are involved.

Mikella Newsom
Board Member since May, 2018

Mikella Newsom is Senior Vice President and Chief Risk Officer for City Bank in Lubbock, Texas. Her responsibilities are overseeing the Bank’s Enterprise Risk Management program and she is also an officer in the Bank’s holding company, South Plains Financial, Inc. She has over 20 years of banking experience, with 18 of those at City Bank.

Mikella is an active volunteer for many organizations including Kappa Delta Sorority of Texas Tech, Meals on Wheels, Bacon Heights Baptist Church, Lubbock Women’s Club, and Hockley County 4-H. She is currently the President of the Frenship Foundation for Leadership and has served on that board for three years.

Mikella graduated from Texas Tech University with a B.S. in Agricultural and Applied Economics. She is married to John and has one son, Rex, who is 14 and attends Frenship Middle School.

Jamey PhillipsBoard Member:

Jamey Phillips
Board Member since December, 2015
Jamey Phillips is a partner in the law firm Phillips & McLaren, LLP.  She graduated with a BS in Agricultural Economics from Texas Tech University and earned her Doctor of Jurisprudence from the Texas Tech School of Law.

Jamey has been involved in many civic and professional organizations in the Lubbock community during her professional career. She serves as a member and past chair of the Lubbock County Hospital District Board of Managers, the National College Baseball Hall of Fame Executive Committee and the Frenship Foundation for Leadership. She is also a past member of the Texas FFA Board of Directors and has served on the FISD Boards of PTA’s for four different FISD campuses.

Jamey and her husband Ronald, University Counsel at Texas Tech, have been married 23 years and have 4 sons – Austin, who is a 9th grader at Frenship High School, Grant and Gavin, 6th graders at Terra Vista Middle School and Holden, a 3rd grader at Legacy Elementary.

Kyle Rogers 

Board Member since November, 2011

Kyle Rogers is employed at Gandy’s Dairies in Lubbock and has been the organization’s Key Account Manager for the past three years. He also is a Realtor with The Sellers Realty.  He is married to Dana, a 1st grade teacher at Frenship’s North Ridge Elementary.
The Rogers have two daughters – Lauren, an 11th grader at Frenship High School, and Lynsey, a 6th grader at Terra Vista.

Kyle is a 1985 graduate of Amarillo Tascosa High School and a 1991 Texas Tech University graduate. He currently serves on the South Plains Food Bank Board of Directors and is a member of the College Baseball Hall of Fame Board. He enjoys participating in his daughters’ activities as well as golf and Texas Tech Red Raider sports.

Greg graduated from West Texas State University in 1985 with a BBA. He has been married to Angela for 27 years.  She is a 5th grade teacher at Bennett. They have two boys – Matthew a senior at FHS and Riley a 7th grader at FMS.  The Robinsons are members of Wolfforth United Methodist Church.  His hobbies include hunting, golfing, and attending their kids’ activities.
