Frenship Middle School participated in the 2015 Ranching Heritage Western Art Contest that took place Saturday, January 9th, 2016 at the Ranching Heritage Center.

The students are instructed to create a work of art depicting Western Life. This year the competition changed to judging categories instead of an overall competition. The event was broken into three categories drawing, painting, and mixed media. Once judged, they took all the finalists and chose a Grand Champion and a Reserve Grand Champion.

Frenship Middle School did extremely well! In the painting category for Middle School  FMS won 1st McKenzie Dulin, 2nd Ashlyn Elliott and 3rd Kayton Genenbacher. In the drawing category FMS received 2nd Place Amber Casas and overall 1st with Zoe Henry.

Overall Zoe Henry, won Reserve Grand Champion of the entire competition with her drawing. This is the second year in a row that Zoe has won the overall Middle School award of Best in Show and second place of the entire show with her Reserve Grand Champion award.

Congratulations to all of the students who participated!
