Build a Stand, Spark a Dream!

Support your local young entrepreneurs! Lemonade Day is Saturday, May 14!

Lemonade Day was founded in 2007 by Michael Holthouse in Houston Texas. His vision is to empower today’s youth to become tomorrow’s entrepreneurs through helping them start, own and operate their very own business…a Lemonade Stand! In 2012, longtime local business leader Charlie Hamilton, his wife, Kate, and their two sons brought Lemonade Day to Lubbock. The Lubbock YWCA has been a partner of the event since the first year helping with execution, registration and details. Each year Lemonade Day has had a special theme and in 2016 it is “Lemon Wars.” Young entrepreneurs are encouraged to choose the dark side or light side but to always keep in mind “the force is YOU.”

Many Lemonade Stands will be set up in the Wolfforth area on Saturday. We encourage you all to support these young entrepreneurs who have worked so hard. To see a map of all locations throughout Lubbock and the South Plains, visit https://lubbock.lemonadeday.org/stand-map
